She actually had her appointment yesterday, but the results were not back yet. They called this morning with the good news. Just like Mary she is supposed to go for an annual blood test for the next 3 years.

As far as jobs go, Mary is very happy tutoring at 2 different places. She is really praying one can turn into a full-time job. Mandy has an application in for an “English specialist” job which she is well qualified for. She has applied for lots of jobs she is qualified for and gotten no where so we’ll just have to see.

Thanks again for all the prayers! I’m sure Jesus has plans for these two. Stay tuned.

He laid a paper with the lab results on the exam table. Mary picked it up and said, “I don’t know what these numbers mean, but I like them.” All her stats are normal and the virus is still undetectable. Mary will go back for an annual blood test for the next 3 years, but that sounds like a formality.

Mary and I responded to this information with a cheer. Even the office staff gave her a cheer as we left the exam room.

And even though you may not be able to hear us right now, we are sending cheers your way too. Thank you  to the 100th power in every conceivable language for all your prayers! It was a tough road, but well worth it.

Since you are all in the habit of praying for both Mary and Mandy you could continue with prayers for jobs. Please Lord send them job in which they can be happy and successful.

Mandy will have her 6 month test at the end of September and get results in October. I’m sure the outcome with be the same.

As Mary and Mandy continue the sometimes painful process of looking for fulfilling full-time employment. They have started several blogs. Here are 2 and there is at least 1 more on the way. Enjoy!

Mary is doing MUCH better. We can only guess that a few things came into play over the month of June: a bad spring allergy season was over and hitting the 6 month post-treatment mark. This spring was bad for Mary’s allergies. She had several throat and sinus infections. This could be why she continued to feel so very fatigued after ending treatment. Our friend Lynn said she did not feel back to normal until 6 months after ending treatment. In any case she is feeling good these days and we’re happy about that.

Mandy is doing fine. She is not back to normal yet, but on her way. I’ll post more on her progress 3 months from now when she is 6 months post-treatment.

Both Mary and Mandy continue the difficult job search. At least they are starting to get some interviews. It’s a shame that employers today don’t have much in the way of manners. Is it so hard to just send an e-mail letting one know they didn’t get the job after having what seemed a great interview? Is it so hard to cancel an interview if you filled a job? I guess it is. I guess they don’t care that someone took several hours off work and drove to the other end of town for an interview just to be told, “Oh, that job has been filled.”

Sorry, just venting. Please continue to pray for all of us!

That is the best news we’ve had since Mary’s. This 1 month test is the biggest indicator of how the treatment went and what to expect for the future. I am much more confident that the 6 month tests will also show no virus and ol’ Heppy C is gone, gone, gone!

All I can say is thank God, and the intercessions of Mother Mary and all you prayer warriors in our army!

Mandy is feeling better, but not back to normal. Mary is still more tired than what I would call normal, so I guess we go to the family doctor and start investigating what else could be wrong. We’ll keep you posted.

She continues to feel a little better all the time. She’s sending out resumes and applications searching for the elusive full-time job. Pray God send her one she can be happy at.

The girls’ hepatitis doctor asked if they would be interested in participating in a radio interview. They both agreed to do it. They will be on a Christian radio program along with the doctor and another patient.

I’ll post test results as soon as we have them. We will be looking forward to 6 month results for Mary in July. Stay tuned!

Mandy doesn’t really feel any different yet. That’s okay, it takes time.

Many say this year has gone by fast, with the qualifier that they understand it may not feel that way to our family. That’s understandable. It’s been a tough year. It’s been a good time to contemplate suffering and how it can bring us closer to God. Time passes at the same rate whether we are experiencing joy or sorrow. In truth, it feels like a year.

The bright light at the end of the tunnel is that the viral tests continue to be negative . We are most thankful for this blessing. We’ll get results for Mandy’s end of treatment test in a few weeks then we’ll have to wait for that 1 month post-treatment test.

We are also thankful for the blessing of the prayer army who bombarded our Lord with requests for healing Mary and Mandy. Thank you!
